The Greater Highway Church of Christ #2 in Sharon Hill, Pennsylvania opened its doors on Tuesday night, August 5, 1969 as Mother Ernestine Watson was instructed by Elder Cranston Watson to do. She, along with Minister Rosetta Betty Clements, Minister Mattie Lee Womack, and Sister Ann Womack were the members who stepped out on faith, turned the key in the lock and the rest is history. These faithful and fearless women, along with their children, made up the congregation at that time, and have continued, by the help of the Lord, until this day.

Later, God enabled the Saints to purchase a building located at 715 Clifton Avenue. In 1987 they completed the renovation of the church where they continuously praise and magnify the name of the Lord. They were often encouraged through their struggles by the scripture, “Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day.” (Acts 26:22)
